Tri-Star Affordable Development
Who we are ~ What we do

With a long-term dedication to both the environment and the communities we build, Tri-Star Affordable Development constructs and operates affordable, green-built housing projects
in areas of critical need throughout the Florida Keys.

Our Construction Elements
Quality construction practices with elegance, make our affordable housing properties beautiful while providing the maximum amount of protection against weather and the elements.

  • All concrete construction
  • Hurricane impact glass and metal roofing
  • All wood cabinets
  • Granite countertops
  • Ceramic tile throughout

Sustainable Communities
We believe it is as critically important to invest in the future of community development, as it is in the structure of the buildings themselves. And to assure that contribution, we add life-building elements to each project as well, including:

  • Computer center
  • Playground and Tiki hut picnic pavilion
  • Resident literacy and job training programs
  • ADA compliant handicap and sensory impaired units

Management Assurance
Each of our residential affordable living properties are managed long term by AGPM, an innovative leader in "green property management."  Their mission statement is to consistently provide quality apartment homes in respectful environments, initiating and educating in green living and working practices.

Our Committment to Green Building
"Green building" for us isn't just a trendy catch phrase.  We add the basics to our low-income housing projects, and then exceed those minimum standards.
Our properties start with Energy Star appliances and Water Sense plumbing fixtures.  Then in coordination with the Florida Green Building Coalition, have achieved the highest possible "Platinum" certification. The FGBC is a non-profit organization and leading certifier of green projects in the State of Florida.
